HELPFUL INFORMATION

Food Allergies

Due to a number of children suffering from allergies, nuts or foods containing nuts are not allowed on nursery premises and should not be taken and/or given to your child to take to nursery. Any food being taken onto nursery premises for sharing, for example birthday cakes, should be free from nuts.

Should your child suffer from any type of allergy, especially food allergies this should be clearly stated on their Child Registration Form.

Animal Allergies

Animals may be taken onto nursery premises for educational purposes or children may be taken on outings to zoos or farms.  Should your child suffer from any type of animal related allergy this should be clearly stated on their Child Registration Form.

Clothing

All clothing worn by children should be clearly labelled with their name for easy identification. Some activities undertaken involve messy play, arts and craft, and baking, which may cause clothes to become marked, despite children being provided with aprons for these activities.

Extra clothing should be taken for babies and toddlers in case their clothes becomes soiled and have to be changed for cleanliness and/or hygiene reasons.

Parents will be informed in advance when children are required to bring additional clothing to the nursery for specific activities and outings.

Rainbow Angels Nurseries are not responsible for any damaged, soiled or missing clothes.

Children in our Rainbow Angels Pre-school Room (3-5 years old) are required to wear the Rainbow Angels Nursery polo shirts and jumpers as part of their uniform.  Polo shirts and jumpers can be purchased from your nursery.

Potty Training

When you are considering starting potty training or are in the process of potty training, please speak with your child’s Key Person so that the same approach can be maintained at home and nursery.  Potties are provided at the nursery.

During the potty training stage we ask that you take sufficient underwear and at least 2 change of clothes and shoes in case your child has accidents.

Pushchairs & Strollers

Our nurseries have designated areas to store your pushchairs and strollers. Pushchairs or strollers left at the nursery should be clearly labelled with your child’s name, and should be folded by parents so they can be easily stored.  By leaving your pushchairs or strollers in the storage area, you agree that Rainbow Angels Nurseries are not responsible for your pushchairs, strollers or any items left in this area.

Toys

Children should not take their own toys to nursery, as this will avoid disagreements between children. Rainbow Angels Nurseries are not responsible for loss or damage to any toys taken to nursery.  Toys taken to nursery will be sent home with parents or returned at the end of the day to parents.
