OUR NURSERIES

Rainbow Angels Nurseries offers warm and welcoming environments that supports your child’s transition from home to nursery. We provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment that ensures your child develops educationally, emotionally, physically and socially.

Our nurseries are designed to stimulate imagination and encourage social interactions between children. Children move between different zones in the rooms to participate in various teacher-led activities or independent play.  There are indoor and outdoor areas to facilitate, formal and informal, group and independent learning.

Our nurseries have their own exclusive outdoor play areas that extend the opportunities for fun, learning and social development for all children.  We promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

There are also garden areas or boxes for children to experience growing food and flowers.

Safeguarding Children

Entry to our nurseries is always controlled by members of staff or secured access entry systems, and children will not be allowed to leave the premises with unauthorised persons in keeping with our Authorised Person Policy.  We monitor everyone entering or leaving the nursery.  Visits to our nurseries by prospective parents are done by appointment only to minimise interruption to children activities.

We provide children with a clean and hygienic environment for learning and ensure that each child understands how important it is to wash their hands, especially after using the toilet, to avoid spreading germs.  Each nursery room has a sink where children are encouraged to wash their hands before and after meals or various activities.  To further safeguard children’s welfare at our nurseries we complete daily risk assessments of our nursery equipment to ensure that our facilities are safe for children’s use. We use the Health and Safety Executive Guidance on risk assessment.

Rainbow Angels Nurseries staff hold valid DBS certificates and have first aid training to allow them to respond to emergencies if they occur.

Key Person

On joining a Rainbow Angels Nursery, each child is allocated a Key Person. Although all staff interact with children at the nursery, the Key Person is a member of staff assigned as the point of contact for parents for their child.  Your child’s Key Person is there to support and respond to your child’s learning and developmental needs, reassure and comfort him or her, encourage curiosity and exploration, guide behavioural development and to let your child feel loved, cared for and secure at their Rainbow Angels Nursery.

When a child joins our nursery, parents and the child’s assigned Key Person will have a formal meeting to discuss the child’s learning requirements and how best the nursery can support the child’s individual needs.  The Key Person will observe your child’s learning and development, and provide regular updates on your child’s progress through our Nursery App for Apple and Android devices.

Local Outings & Visits

Children are taken out for walks in the local community, including to food markets, parks and other venues that are suitable for their development.

We invite professionals from the local community, such as policemen, fire fighters or nurses, to visit our nursery to talk with the children.

Parents are notified of local outings and visits in advance. Walkodile safety systems, where appropriate, and high visibility vests are used on trips and outings.

Day Trips

We plan various day trips each year as part of our educational curriculum. These trips may include visits to the zoo, farms and museums, and other age appropriate venues that children will find fun and educational. Walkodile safety systems, where appropriate, and high visibility vests are used on trips and outings.

Parents are notified of trips and outings in advance. These trips and outings are optional and the cost of such trips are exclusive of the Fees, however the nursery will provide packed lunches.
